My name is Mel Mercier, I am 40 years old and was born and raised in Germany. In 2020, my family and I made one of our biggest dreams come true and moved to France, which is where my husband is from.
After having worked as an international hair & make up artist for over 15 years, I was truly longing for a professional and personal change. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamt of a special place to call home, and finally took the courage to leave behind the buzzing big city lifestyle of Berlin as well as the loud, exciting, and often hectic make up industry.

Our journey has lead us to a tiny town in the heart of the French Bretagne that we are proud to call home now. (I am not going to lie), this journey into the unknown has truly been a challenge for me. However, it also showed me very beautifully what I am capable of. I learned to trust myself more, to be more courageous and to follow my dreams. Our unshakable belief that we are on the right track suddenly opened an entirely new perspective to us. Not only did I discover my passion for gardening, but also how much I love to paint.

To imagine a life without a brush in my hand is nearly impossible for me. Just a little while ago, the faces of international beauty campaigns, celebrities, models used to be my canvases. Now, I am creating art on paper and canvases and swapped makeup foundation for acrylic paint & oil pastels.

Inspired by our life here in France, my role as a mother and my cottage garden, I create art and live my passion in this beautiful place that gives me peace and allows me to simply be.
